Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will arrive in Islamabad on Wednesday for a two-day visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and economic cooperation with Pakistan. The visit, undertaken at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, includes high-level meetings and the signing of several agreements.

President Erdogan will co-chair the seventh meeting of the Pakistan-Türkiye High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC) with Prime Minister Sharif. The HLSCC, the highest decision-making body between the two countries, oversees cooperation in numerous sectors including trade, investment, defense, and education. The meeting is expected to conclude with a joint declaration and the signing of several memoranda of understanding (MoUs). A joint press conference is also scheduled to take place after the meeting.

In addition to the HLSCC meeting, President Erdogan will hold separate meetings with Prime Minister Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari. He will also address the Pakistan-Türkiye Business and Investment Forum, encouraging further economic collaboration between the two nations.

The visit follows a recent meeting between President Zardari and President Erdogan at Istanbul Airport, where they discussed bilateral relations. The two countries share strong historical ties, and this visit is expected to further solidify their multifaceted partnership.
