Pakistan Army said on Tuesday that it had killed an Afghan national involved in terrorism in Balochistan.
According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations, the Afghan national was identified as Muhammad Khan Ahmedkhel, Son of Haji Qasim Dawran Khan, resident of Village Bilorai, District Wazekhwa, Paktika Province, Afghanistan.
ISPR added that Ahmedkhel was killed on January 11 in the Sambaza area of Zhob district of Balochistan.
“His dead body was handed over to IAG officials on 20 January after necessary procedural formalities,” the statement added.
ISPR said that such incidents are ‘irrefutable evidence’ of involvement of Afghan Nationals in terrorist activities in Pakistan.
“Interim Afghan Government is expected to fulfil its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for perpetuating acts of terrorism against Pakistan,” the statement added.
Pakistan has repeatedly accused Afghanistan of providing safe havens to individuals involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan. In December, Afghan authorities said Pakistan had launched airstrikes inside Afghan territory, killing ‘mostly civilians’. However, the claims were not officially confirmed or denied by Pakistani authorities.
