According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan’s security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 26 November 2025. The operation was launched after receiving information about the presence of terrorists allegedly linked to an India-backed group referred to as “Fitna-ul-Khawarij.”

The ISPR spokesperson said that the forces effectively targeted the terrorists’ hideout, and after an intense exchange of fire, 22 terrorists were killed.

The statement added that clearance and sanitization operations are still underway to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area who, according to ISPR, are supported by India.

ISPR further stated that security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue their uncompromising counterterrorism efforts under the “Azm-e-Istihkam” vision, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan. The objective of this campaign is to completely eradicate terrorism that is supported or sponsored from abroad.
