A major potential disaster was narrowly averted in Bajaur District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, thanks to the prompt and effective action of the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), following a special directive from the District Police Officer (DPO). The BDS recovered a large quantity of explosive material from various locations in the Jannat Shah area of Khar Tehsil, which the team successfully defused.
​The expert BDS team displayed complete skill and professional competence by not only safely recovering the explosive material but also successfully disposing of it without causing any damage. This timely operation prevented any potential loss of life or property in the area, thereby maintaining peace and security.
​The DPO Bajaur praised the professional capability of the Bomb Disposal Squad team for the successful operation and commended the cooperation of the public. He stated that a strong liaison between the public and the police is essential for establishing lasting peace. The DPO made it clear that the nefarious plans of miscreants will be thwarted at all costs and that operations against such elements will continue indiscriminately.
​It is worth noting that a tragic explosion involving improvised explosive devices occurred in the same area just yesterday, resulting in the martyrdom of two young men and leaving one severely injured. Today’s swift action by the BDS is a significant step toward preventing such future incidents.
