Saudi Arabia’s Chief of General Staff, General Fayyadh Bin Hameed Al Rowaili, met Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, during his visit to the General Headquarters (GHQ) on Tuesday, according to the ISPR.
In their discussions, the two commanders exchanged views on regional security and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the long-standing strategic defence partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. They stressed the need to further expand collaboration in defence, security, and counter-terrorism—areas that continue to anchor bilateral ties, the ISPR stated.
General Al Rowaili commended Pakistan’s longstanding cooperation with the Saudi Armed Forces across multiple sectors and expressed his intention to deepen cooperation even further.
Earlier, upon his arrival at GHQ, the Saudi military chief laid a wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada to honour Pakistan’s martyrs and was presented a Guard of Honour by a contingent of the Pakistan Army, the ISPR added.
