Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Cadet College Wana and praised the bravery of Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps officers and soldiers for thwarting an attempted attack on the college.
On arrival, IG Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (South), Major General Mehr Omar Khan, welcomed the minister. During the visit, the minister was given a detailed briefing on how the security forces successfully foiled the attack and safely rescued all cadets and staff.
Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the attack, calling the attackers ruthless and inhumane. He said, “No religion allows children to be targeted. These attackers have no religion, and calling them human is an insult to humanity.”
He praised the courage and professionalism of the Army and Frontier Corps personnel involved in the rescue operation. He said the forces set a high example of bravery and professionalism by safely evacuating all students and teachers.
The minister added that the attackers intended to carry out an incident similar to the APS tragedy, but the timely action of Pakistan Army personnel foiled their plan, eliminating the extremists and preventing a major disaster. He called all personnel involved in the rescue “heroes of the nation.”
Mohsin Naqvi also expressed his commitment to renovating and restoring Cadet College Wana to the highest standards.
