The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has said that Colonel General Sobirzoda Emomali Abdulrahim, Minister of Defence of Tajikistan, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
According to the ISPR, the meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security, and bilateral defence cooperation between the two nations.
ISPR said that both sides expressed a strong resolve to significantly enhance existing military-to-military collaboration, particularly in training, counter-terrorism, and regional security.
According to the Pak Army media wing, the visiting dignitary, Colonel General Abdulrahim, appreciated the professionalism of the Pakistan Army and acknowledged its vital role in promoting regional stability and peace.
The COAS, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening defence and security ties with Tajikistan, simultaneously emphasising the importance of collective efforts for the overall stability and prosperity of the region.
