The Balochistan government has announced the enforcement of Section 144 in Pishin district for the next 15 days due to security concerns. The Home Department of Balochistan has issued a notification stating that the order will remain in effect in Pishin until November 20.
According to the notification, there will be a complete ban on the display of weapons, public gatherings, rallies, sit-ins, and assemblies of more than five people in the district.

It is important to note that Section 144 had already been imposed in several other parts of the province earlier for similar reasons, with its duration extended multiple times. The Balochistan government first enforced Section 144 across the province on August 1, which was later extended for another 15 days each on August 15 and August 29, remaining in effect until September 15.
During the previous enforcement, on September 8, police in the provincial capital Quetta arrested over 100 protesters for violating the ban on public gatherings. The detainees were accused of forcibly closing markets and blocking roads. Quetta’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Muhammad Baloch confirmed at that time that more than 100 people were arrested for violating Section 144.
