Security Forces Kill Over 28 Terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amid Surge in Attacks; Multiple Officers Martyred

In the past 48 hours, Pakistan has seen a rise in terrorist and security-related incidents, especially in the border areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Militants have directly targeted state institutions and law enforcement agencies.

Attack on Assistant Commissioner in Balochistan, Police Officer Killed

Police reported that on Monday night, a bomb targeted the vehicle of Deputy Commissioner Bashir Ahmed in Turbat, Balochistan. Officials said the vehicle suffered minor damage and a few police officers were slightly injured. A search operation has been launched to track the attackers.
In another incident, a police inspector was martyred in Bagh Naari, Balochistan, during a shootout with armed men. Police said two terrorists were killed in retaliatory fire.

Local Tribal Leader Killed in Bajaur

Police said unidentified gunmen killed a local elder, Malik Habib, in Inayat Kalli Bazaar, Bajaur. He was a resident of the Dabar area. An investigation is ongoing, but no suspects have been arrested yet.

Police Officer Kidnapped in Lakki Marwat

On Monday, militants kidnapped a police officer in the Shehbaz Khel area of Lakki Marwat. A few days earlier, another person was abducted from the same area and later found dead. Police said operations are ongoing and they aim to clear the area of terrorists soon.

Militants Killed in South Waziristan

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that three “India-sponsored” terrorists were killed in North Waziristan on Friday in an intelligence-based operation.

25 Militants Killed in Kurram and North Waziristan

The Pakistan Army said 25 terrorists were killed on October 24 and 25 in Spinwam areas of Kurram and North Waziristan. The terrorists were targeted while crossing the border from Afghanistan into Pakistan.
On Wednesday, security forces killed a wanted terrorist, Habibur Rehman, in the Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan, injuring three of his associates.

Police Officer Killed in Bannu

Police reported that a constable was shot dead on Monday in the Kaki area of Bannu while returning home from duty. Efforts to track the attackers are ongoing.

Attack on Security Forces in Khyber

Officials said an attack on security forces in Aka Khel, Khyber, killed three personnel and injured five others. Operations have been launched to eliminate terrorists from the area.

Pakistan–Afghanistan Talks in Turkey

Sources said Pakistani officials and the Afghan Taliban held talks in Turkey on Tuesday, continuing late into the evening. The negotiations have faced delays due to the Taliban’s reluctance to accept Pakistan’s security demands. No official statement was issued, but sources said a joint decision could be reached soon if the Afghan side shows flexibility.
