Over the past 24 hours, several terrorist incidents have been reported from different districts of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Security personnel and civilians have been martyred and injured in these attacks. The most intense clashes occurred in Bajaur and Dera Ismail Khan (D.I. Khan) districts. However, according to reports, security forces and police carried out strong counter-operations, killing several terrorists. Attack in Bajaur
According to local authorities in Bajaur, a fierce exchange of fire took place on Friday between security forces and terrorists. In this clash, three civilians and two security personnel were martyred. Security sources said that several terrorists were also killed in the retaliatory operation.
Attack on Police Training Centre in D.I. Khan
Police officials stated that late Friday night, terrorists attacked the Police Training Centre in Dera Ismail Khan. In the retaliatory operation, six terrorists were killed.
District Police Officer Sahibzada Sajjad said that police personnel inside the centre killed four terrorists, while two others blew themselves up using explosive-laden vehicles.
In this attack, six policemen and one civilian employee were martyred, while around eleven others sustained injuries.
Kidnapping Incidents in Tank and Bannu
Police reported that in the southern district of Tank, five people, including three members of the security forces, were kidnapped. According to the police, the three Frontier Corps personnel were on leave and traveling home when unidentified gunmen abducted them. In the same area, terrorists also kidnapped two truck drivers.
Terrorist Attack in Upper Orakzai
According to Upper Orakzai police, terrorists opened fire with a sniper rifle in the Tooda Mela area of the Akhel tribe, killing a Frontier Corps soldier, Lance Naik Raza Muhammad. Following the incident, police launched a search operation against the terrorists in the area.
Government Officials Killed in Kohat
Police said that on Saturday morning, near the Peshawar Toll Plaza on Kohat Highway, terrorists opened fire on a vehicle carrying two officials of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), killing both and fleeing from the scene.
Cross-Border Attack in Angoor Adda
Officials confirmed that on Friday night, Pakistani security posts in Angoor Adda, South Waziristan, came under attack from across the Afghan border. Authorities verified that the attack originated from Afghan soil. Fortunately, no casualties were reported among Pakistani forces.
