According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a major intelligence-based operation conducted on the night of October 7-8, Pakistan Security Forces eliminated 19 terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy network, Fitna-tul- Khwarij, in the Orakzai District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The operation, launched following credible intelligence regarding the presence of militants in the area, resulted in a fierce exchange of fire.

Leading from the front, Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Arif (39), a resident of District Rawalpindi, along with his second-in-command Major Tayyab Rahat (33), also from Rawalpindi, fought valiantly during the operation but tragically embraced martyrdom along with nine other brave soldiers, said ISPR.

The martyrs have been identified by ISPR,

Naib Subedar Azam Gul (38) – District Khyber, Naik Adil Hussain (35) – District Kurram, Naik Gul Ameer (34) – District Tank, Lance Naik Sher Khan (31) – District Mardan, Lance Naik Talish Faraz (32) – District Mansehra, Lance Naik Irshad Hussain (32) – District Kurram, Sepoy Tufail Khan (28) – District Malakand, Sepoy Aqib Ali (23) – District Swabi, Sepoy Muhammad Zahid (24) – District Tank.

These courageous soldiers laid down their lives while ensuring the safety and security of their fellow citizens and country. Their sacrifice comes as part of Pakistan’s ongoing campaign to root out terrorism and dismantle Indian-sponsored militant networks operating on its soil.

Security officials confirmed that the operation successfully neutralized a significant number of terrorists affiliated with Fitnat-ul-Khwarij, an Indian-backed extremist group aiming to destabilize the region. A follow-up sanitization operation is currently underway in the surrounding areas to ensure that no remaining militants are left behind.

The Pakistan Armed Forces reiterated their unwavering commitment to eradicate terrorism in all its forms, particularly foreign-sponsored proxies threatening national peace. “Such noble sacrifices by our brave men only strengthen our resolve to protect the motherland at all costs,” stated an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) spokesperson.

Nationwide tributes have begun pouring in for the martyrs, whose selfless acts of valour stand as a testament to the courage and dedication of Pakistan’s security forces in the face of relentless threats.
