Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, stated that Pakistan’s military development strategy prioritizes the acquisition of both effective and efficient platforms and indigenously developed Pakistani technology.
In an interview with Bloomberg, Director General Chaudhry remarked, “We remain open to acquire all kinds of technology, whether indigenous, Eastern, or Western.” He emphasized that Pakistan is not engaged in an arms race with India and has never sought to manipulate or conceal its facts and figures.
Regarding the recent “Marka-e-Haq” operation, the DG ISPR asserted that India failed to shoot down any Pakistani aircraft. Director General, Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, also commended the effective performance of Pakistani weapon systems, particularly the Chinese platforms integrated into the Pakistan Armed Forces during the operation.
Bloomberg reported that, a week earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump had also confirmed that seven Indian aircraft were downed. The magazine’s report further detailed that Pakistan’s Chinese-made J-10C fighter jets shot down several Indian Air Force aircraft, including Rafales, during the Marka-e-Haq operation.
The report highlighted the diversity of Pakistan’s military arsenal, noting that the country uses both Chinese weapons and U.S.-made F-16 fighter jets. In August, Pakistan officially announced the induction of the Z-10ME attack helicopter into its armed forces, according to the Bloomberg report.
