Security forces carried out a major operation against terrorists in the Darsha Khel area of the Karak district, which resulted in the killing of a total of seventeen (17) terrorists.

​District Police Officer (DPO) Shahbaz Elahi reported that the heirs of the slain terrorists and leaders of the Khatak Ittehad (Khatak Alliance) held negotiations with the DPO Karak.

Following these successful talks, the administration released the bodies of the killed terrorists to their heirs.

​According to DPO Shahbaz Elahi, eight of the 17 slain terrorists have been identified. Their names are: Shafiullah and Abdul Wakil (two terrorists) from Lakki Marwat; Nasir, Suratullah, and Sohail (three terrorists) from Bannu; Sulaiman from Mohmand; and Zaheenullah from Karak.

Local sources indicate that this operation by the security forces was part of ongoing efforts to improve peace and order in the region.
