Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rafiq Hamza of Balochistan’s Mastung district went missing on the way yesterday, causing a wave of intense concern among his family and officials.

Rafiq Hamza was on his way back to Mastung after attending the funeral of his mother in his ancestral village of Shariki, located in the Musakhel Awaran district. According to his family, he arrived at Hub Chowki before noon yesterday and left for Mastung around 12 PM to rejoin his duties.

​Sources indicate that he had reached the Sorab area but contact with him has since been lost and his phone is switched off. Police officials stated that he entered Sorab around 5 PM yesterday evening.

​The family of Rafiq Hamza has appealed to the relevant authorities to take immediate action to find him as soon as possible.
