In efforts to restore peace and order, security forces achieved a major success on Monday in the Bettani subdivision of Lakki Marwat district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to police sources, a large-scale joint operation was conducted by the Pakistan Army and district police within the jurisdiction of Shadi Khel police station in the Bettani subdivision of Lakki Marwat.

The operation targeted suspected terrorist hideouts in Shadi Khel, Ali Khel, and the adjoining mountainous areas.

Police sources said that during the raids, intense exchange of fire took place between the security forces and terrorists. As per confirmed reports, two terrorists were critically injured in the clashes.

Troops from the Pakistan Army, along with district police and elite commandos, participated in the joint operation. Brigade Commander Haider Ali and District Police Officer (DPO) Nazir Khan were also present on-site to lead the operation.

The aim of the joint action was to eliminate the threat of terrorism from the area and ensure the protection of the local population.
