A vehicle of the Pakistan Army was targeted in a bombing in Balochistan’s Kech district on Monday, resulting in two soldiers being martyred and five injured.

The vehicle was travelling from Abdoi to Niwano, when it was targeted using an improvised-explosive device 3.3 kilometres southwest of its destination.

As a result, Naik Tahir and Naik Bilal embraced martyrdom, while Sepoy Muneer, Lance Naik Rab Nawaz and Sepoy Tehseen were critically injured. Two other soldiers, Sepoy Zain and Sepoy Ali Zaman sustained minor injuries.

Quick Response Force has been mobilised towards the site of the incident and the injured have been shifted to WHQ Niwano. Sources confirmed that the commandant’s vehicle remained undamaged in the attack.
