Pakistani singer Quratulain Baloch was seriously injured in a bear attack in Deosai National Park, Skardu. Wildlife officials and Skardu police responded swiftly, transporting her to the Skardu Regional Hospital where she is currently receiving emergency treatment.
Doctors report deep wounds to both of Baloch’s arms, inflicted by claws and teeth. Her condition is serious, and she remains in the emergency ward.
Eyewitnesses state that Baloch was with companions at the Bara Pani camp when a brown bear attacked. Local residents at a nearby camp intervened, preventing further injury and driving the bear away. This timely intervention likely saved Baloch’s life.
Following the incident, the Wildlife Department announced that safety measures within Deosai National Park will be significantly strengthened to protect both tourists and local residents.
