Two Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers were killed and 17 others injured in a late-night attack on an FC post in the Torawari area of Hangu district, police reported. The attack, which occurred near police station Doaba, involved militants using heavy and small arms fire.
The deceased soldiers have been identified as Sepoy Abdul Ghaffar and Naik Sadeeq Hussain. The injured soldiers were immediately transported to a nearby hospital in Doaba, where they are receiving medical treatment.
According to SP Operations Asad Zebar, security forces responded swiftly to the attack, forcing the militants to flee the area. A search operation is currently underway, and security forces and police have reportedly regained full control of the region. The extent of the militants’ casualties is currently unknown. Investigations into the attack are ongoing.
