Two terrorists killed in Mianwali in gunfight with CTD

Two highly dangerous terrorists were killed in a Punjab Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) operation near Kundiyan, Mianwali. The CTD received intelligence indicating the terrorists were planning attacks on police and other institutions.

According to a CTD spokesperson, law enforcement acted on this intelligence. During the operation, the terrorists opened fire, prompting a return of fire from CTD officers. In the ensuing exchange, two terrorists were killed, reportedly by friendly fire from their own associates. Six other terrorists managed to escape.

The CTD recovered explosive materials, two rifles, hand grenades, and ammunition from the militants. The spokesperson stated that the identification of the deceased terrorists is ongoing and a search operation has been launched to apprehend the escapees. The terrorists had reportedly finalized plans to attack police and other government institutions.
