Unidentified armed militants opened fire on security forces in South Waziristan, injuring two officials. In response, security personnel retaliated, killing three militants.

According to details, unknown assailants targeted a security forces vehicle as they were heading towards the MS post. The security forces returned fire, killing three attackers on the spot.

In the exchange of fire, Havaldar Hakeem was shot in the hand, and Havaldar Zia-ur-Rehman sustained multiple bullet injuries to his leg. However, both officers are reported to be out of danger and have been shifted to a hospital for treatment.

Following the incident, a search operation is underway in the area.
