Three people including a police inspector and were killed in a targeted shooting attack on Peshawar’s Warsak Road on Tuesday night.
According to a communication sent to the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), the inspector and his two companions were traveling on Warsak Road when they were ambushed by four gunmen on motorcycles. The gunmen opened fire, resulting in the deaths of all three officers.
An FIR has been filed with the Mechina Gate police station. The police said that terrorists were behind the incident.
Attacks from the Tehreek-e-Taliban have increasingly focused on police officials, including those who are off-duty or on vacation.
