A large-scale military and police operation targeting militant hideouts in the border regions of Kohat, Hangu, Orakzai, and Lower Kurram has resulted in the deaths of at least 15 militants over the past ten days, according to police.

The operation, involving over 200 army and police personnel, has utilized helicopter gunships to strike militant positions in mountainous areas, including Chhapri, Kandawo, Shanwari, Zarghari, Nariyab, and other rugged terrains. The police claims that militants have been fleeing into the mountainous jungle during the helicopter assaults.

Multiple militant hideouts have been destroyed, and numerous militants have been wounded during the ongoing operation, according to the RPO.

A separate search operation is also underway in the Koh-e-Maidan area of Kurram, which has now reportedly been cleared of militants.
