Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is scheduled to visit Pakistan on July 26, according to a report by Tasnim News Agency, citing Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson.

Esmaeil Baqaei announced the visit during a press conference, describing it as a sign of Iran’s commitment to its relationship with Pakistan. He emphasized that bilateral ties are rooted in historical, cultural, and religious understanding and mutual respect.

Baqaei noted that contact between Tehran and Islamabad has increased following recent Israeli and US aggression against Iran. He highlighted a 12-day Israeli attack on military, nuclear, and residential sites on June 13, followed by US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan on June 22. Iran responded with counterattacks, including reportedly 22 waves of missile strikes against Israeli targets under Operation True Promise III, and missile strikes on the al-Udeid air base in Qatar. A ceasefire was reached on June 24.

Separately, Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni spoke with Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi by phone, offering condolences for the victims of recent Pakistani floods and pledging assistance. The two ministers also discussed President Pezeshkian’s upcoming visit, with Momeni thanking Naqvi for a recent visit to Iran, and Naqvi expressing Islamabad’s anticipation for President Pezeshkian’s arrival.
