The foreign ministers of Germany, France, and Britain will hold talks with their Iranian counterpart in Geneva on Friday, a German diplomatic source revealed to Reuters.

The meeting, coordinated with the United States, aims to secure firm Iranian guarantees that its nuclear program will be used exclusively for peaceful purposes.

Prior to the meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister, the European ministers will first convene with EU High Representative at Germany’s permanent mission in Geneva.

Following the high-level discussions, a structured dialogue at the expert level is planned.

The talks represent a significant effort by European powers to address concerns surrounding Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
