Govt buildings set on fire, ADC martyred in terrorist attack in Balochistan

A government official was martyred and several government buildings were set ablaze in Balochistan’s Surab area on Friday. A clearance operation is underway in the area to apprehend the terrorists.

Balochistan government spokesman Shahid Rind said that the cowardly attack by terrorists in Surab, targeted a bank and the residence of administrative officers. He described the incident as a despicable attempt to challenge the authority of the state.

Rind said that a bank in Surab Bazaar was looted, and various government officials’ homes were set ablaze during the assault. Tragically, Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue, Hidayat Belidi, was martyred while bravely fighting against the attackers, setting a new example of courage for his country.

The spokesman noted that women and children were present at the Additional Deputy Commissioner’s residence during the attack. He accused Indian proxies of orchestrating the violence under their direction.

Ongoing search operations are taking place in the area, with Frontier Corps, police, and Levies forces deployed to restore order. A clearance operation is currently underway to ensure the safety and security of the region.
