The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, today accused India of sponsoring the terrorist attack on a school bus in Khuzdar, Balochistan, on May 21. The attack killed six children and injured 31 others.
Addressing a press conference alongside the interior secretary, Lt. Gen. Chaudhry stated that the attack was a continuation of a pattern of Indian state-sponsored terrorism against Pakistan. He provided a historical context, referencing past incidents and evidence presented to both India and the United Nations. He said, “In 2009, the Pakistani government handed a dossier of irrefutable evidence to then Indian prime minister. The publicly disclosed documents that were released in 2010 are part of history.”
He also highlighted the 2016 Kulbushan Jadhav case and the evidence presented to the UN in 2019. He added, “Very recently, the international media has seen self-giving confession and acknowledgement of multiple surrendered terrorists of this Fitna al Hindustan.”
Referring specifically to the Khuzdar attack, Lt. Gen. Chaudhry said, “This is what happened on May 21 on the orders of Hindustan, done by the terrorists of fitnah Al Hindustan.” He expressed outrage at the targeting of innocent children, stating, “In the aftermath of the despicable terrorist attack on a school bus in Khuzdar on the early morning on May 21, this cowardly attack targeted innocent children of our future, resulting in the tragic loss of six children and injuries to 31 others. Let me be unequivocal that this was not an attack on a bus alone, it was an attack on our values, on our education and the very fabric of our society.”
The ISPR DG offered condolences to the victims’ families and assured that investigations were underway. He confirmed that initial findings point to the involvement of Fitna al Hindustan, operating under the direction of India’s RAW intelligence agency. He stated, “Having miserably failed in Operation Sindoor, the terror proxies of Hindustan have been tasked to accentuate their heinous attacks of terrorism in Balochistan and elsewhere. Let me be absolutely clear here, the people of Pakistan will not let them succeed. Pakistan and its people, particularly in Balochistan reject this nefarious design. The state has the capacity and the will to dismantle these networks and bring the preparators and their handlers to justice. Such actions will have consequences.”
Lt. Gen. Chaudhry asserted that the attack was a deliberate provocation by India and not related to Baloch identity. He added that known terrorists have also been treated in India after being wounded by security forces in Pakistan.
He also showed a recently released video of Noor Wali Mehsud in which he was asking Afghanistan to help them in their so called Jihad and legitimising taking help from ‘Kuffar’ (non believers) against Muslims.
This statement bolsters Pakistan’s long-standing claim of Indian support for terrorism within its borders. Mehsud’s declaration draws attention to numerous investigative reports previously released by Pakistani security agencies. These reports consistently allege that India provides the TTP with financial, logistical, and intelligence support. Furthermore, the reports accuse India of utilising Afghan territory to orchestrate terrorist activities within Pakistan, with the TTP serving as a key proxy.
