Pakistan has shot down at least 25 Harop drones on Thursday morning, according to Director General Inter-Services Public Relations Lt General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry. The drone attacks martyred at least one civilian, and injured five people including four soldiers.

DG ISPR said that the attacks occurred in Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, Chor, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi, Attock, Miano, and an area near Karachi. ISPR initially said 12 drones had been shot down, later raising the number to 25.

ISPR said that the drones which were shot down included both hard kills and soft kills.

“India has lost the plot,” he added. He went on to say that India was reacting out of desperation after Pakistan’s response to an earlier attack.

He added that only one drone had managed to engage a military target in Lahore. He added that the drones were eliminated by vigilant security forces. The drone attack in Miano martyred one civilian and injured another.

The Harop drone has been developed by MBT Missiles Division of Israel Aerospace Industries. The drone is described a loitering munition which can hover in the air for hours before detonating itself on the target.
