Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar today announced that the Pakistani army has killed between 40 and 50 Indian soldiers in clashes along the Line of Control (LoC), alongside the downing of numerous Indian drones.
Speaking in the National Assembly, Tarar characterized the initial Indian actions as a “cowardly attack under the cover of darkness,” contrasting it with what he described as a decisive Pakistani response. He detailed the Pakistani military’s actions, claiming the downing of five Indian fighter jets and the destruction of an Indian brigade headquarters.
Tarar further stated that Pakistani forces successfully neutralized 25 Israeli-made Harop drones deployed by India in attacks across multiple Pakistani cities.
Tarar highlighted the alleged Indian boastfulness preceding the conflict, referencing India’s Rafale jets and threats of aggressive action, but portraying the outcome as a humiliating defeat for India. He emphasized that not only did Indian aircraft fall, but also “the country’s entire pride crumbled.”
He added that one civilian was killed and another injured in the drone attacks, and four Pakistani troops were wounded. The reported drone attacks targeted Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Attock, Bahawalpur, and Karachi.
The minister rejected India’s propaganda, pointing to an Indian drone reportedly falling on a Gurdwara in India as evidence of the ineffectiveness of the Indian attacks. He accused the Modi government of a malicious campaign targeting Sikhs while simultaneously spreading false propaganda against Pakistan.
