31 civilians martyred, 57 injured in attacks by India: DG ISPR

Director General Inter Services Public Relations Lt. Gen. Ahmad Sharif Chaudhary speaks to the nation right after Prime Minister’s address, stating that the number of casualties has risen since last night. He said 31 innocent civilians have been martyred and 57 are injured. He also said that the numbers have increased because India violated the ceasefire at the line of control.

DG ISPR said that any condemnation of India’s strikes is not enough, and it has exposed India’s disgusting face. It has been shown that our enemy is weak and cowardly, that instead of fighting with an army, it attacks the innocent civilians at night and darkness. “Young children were martyred,” he added while showing the pictures and details of children who lost their lives yesterday.

He further said, “What India has done is terrorism and nothing else. It is proven now how India is involved in transnational killings and terrorism. Destroying the places of worship and holy books has no connection to humanity. Pakistan only selected the military targets while responding to Indian brutality for our self-defence. Pakistan did not attack civilians, and these military targets were deployed specifically to attack Pakistan.”

“Pakistan will not compromise on its sovereignty. Pakistan’s air force shot down only those Indian aircraft that dropped weapons, and they were engaged professionally. We are all proud of our air force. Other than the air force, Pakistan’s army is also giving a befitting reply to India at the Line of Control and the working boundary,” said Chauhdary while briefing the nation third time in the last 24 hours.

He also lauded the nation for standing with the armed forces.
