A total of 158 terrorists were killed in operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the last month, security sources have revealed.
The terrorists were eliminated in a total of 73 operations were carried out in 15 districts of the province in March.
The highest number of terrorists killed was in North Waziristan (40), followed by Dera Ismail Khan (25) and Mohmand 20. Meanwhile, 18 terrorists each were killed in Bannu and Mardan.
Other districts where terrorists were killed include South Waziristan (13), Lakki Marwat (7), Bajaur (6), Khyber (4), Karak (2) and Tank (2).
One terrorist each was reported killed in Peshawar, Charsadda, Swat and Hangu.
Law enforcement agencies also recovered 123 SMGs, 23 rocket launchers and nine machine guns from the slain terrorists.
Meanwhile, a total of 152 people including police officials, security forces personnel and civilians lost their lives in terrorist attacks in the first three months of the year in the province. Another 302 were injured in the terrorist attacks.
