Security forces have killed at least 11 militants in two separate operations conducted in the country’s restive border regions of Lakki Marwat and Kurram districts.

In Lakki Marwat, security forces launched a successful operation in and around the Sherikhel area, resulting in the death of nine militants affiliated with a banned organization, according to local sources.

Separately, in a targeted operation in the Khaibar Wali Nal area of Kurram district, security forces killed two militants and wounded three others.

Security officials stated that documents and markings found on the deceased militants’ belongings indicated their affiliation with foreign-backed groups, citing evidence of Indian markings and inscriptions on their bags.

KP has faced over 600 terror attacks in the current year so far, leading to the deaths of at least 138 people. In response, security forces have launched hundreds of intelligence-based operations to eliminate the culprits involved.
